Town sight in Morocco

The imperial cities of Morocco are those cities which used to be capitals of prominent dynasties. There are four main cities : Marrakech, Rabat, Fes and Meknes.

Erg chebbi dunes are the immense sand dunes in North Africa. This natural attraction is situated in the south-east of Morocco (in Tafilalet district). The destination is also called Merzouga desert, for Merzouga is the name of a little village by the sand dunes.

Atlas mountains are the highest of North Africa, with a peak reaching 3000 metres. At winter, snow covers thousands of hectares of the mountains, which is a good time to practice snow-boarding. The Atlas mountains are divided into three categories : the Anti atlas, High atlas and middle atlas.

Essaouira and The Atlantic coast. This coastal and port destination is by far a wonderful place. Essaouira (200 Kms from Marrakech ) was founded by the Portuguese invaders, before it was regained by the Berbers. Mogador isle is a historical feature, marking a great history and a glorious existence.

Gorges and valleys. Dades gorgs and Todgha gorges are must see. These geological formations are gigantic! and often named the “grand canyon” of Morocco. Just inland the mountains, there begins the valleys with various flora. Such as valley of roses, Ziz valley and Draa valley, containing millions of palm trees.
